Mission Trip to Haiti

Leogane, Haiti

We are planning the first of many outreach trips to the Haitian community of Leogane beginning around the November time-frame of this year. About three years ago we embarked in a joint ministry effort with a local pastor and his fellowship to build a Bible school to raise up indigenous pastors, teachers, evangelist to bring the Gospel to the more remote communities of Haiti. In addition to the school, we began to provide facilities for a small orphanage and a medical clinic on the existing property to meet the medical/physical needs of the potential students and their families, as well as the destitute. As a direct result of the recent earthquake, the construction site was leveled including the home of the pastor. Last September I spent a week in Leogan to meet our brothers and sisters in-Christ. I was moved by their humility and hunger to learn the Word and their passion to share the Gospel of our Lord. As plainly indicated in the following verses, the Lord does not begin a work to let it fall by the wayside. He has in no way indicated to us that we should abort this calling. We are committed to complete the task He's called us to to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teaching of His Word to a people who are hungry. If God has move in your heart, please prayerfully consider joining us to help our brothers and sisters in need.

"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.." Philippians 1:3-6

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to one hope when you were called  - one Lord, one faith, one baptism; God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
